The aftermath

Wow. So the album has been out for some time now and the dust is now beginning to settle. I had planned to update this blog a little bit more regularly to document the release but ended up just stepping back with open-mouthed amazement at how far this little guy managed to go. The mention on weezer.com was a great start and the extensive coverage we received from there greatly exceeded all expectations. The highlights include: Kotaku, Bytejacker, Radio Exile, Maxim and G1. Also the UK free paper for commuters - The Metro - recently had a tiny feature plugging the record which you can read above. I had no idea that Twitter would prove so effective in spreading the word but on the day of the release people were tweeting like crazy about it. Demand was so great that the server that the zip file was hosted on crashed and our allotted bandwidth was swiftly exceeded. Reaction to the record has been nearly 100% positive and I would like to thank everyone that has downloaded and enjoyed the album for the support. Please stick around and listen to future Pterodactyl Squad releases as we have much more to come. Oh! One more thing - has anyone found the hidden bonus track on the release page yet? Seek and ye shall find...
